Marina Park & Water Sports Complex

Best place for Water Sports Activities, Fast Foods, Sea Foods and Strolling around with family and friends...

This Park is attached to Andaman Water Sports Complex at Aberdeen Bazaar Jetty opposite to Netaji Subash Chandra Bose Stadium in the centre of the Capital City – Port Blair. This is a complete Amusement Park clubbed with various Play Equipments which attracts children’s of all sizes. A model Cycle Park is also constructed here which educates the children with the basic traffic rules of driving, while the concrete bridge built over the sea lures visitors for a memorable walk with cool breeze flowing from the sea.

While the Andaman Water Sports Complex (also known as the Rajiv Gandhi Water Sports Complex) is enriched with facilities like Water Scooters and Paddle/Motor Boats, for complete Fun and Enjoyment. The complex also houses two Restaurants (one run and maintained by the department of Tourism and the other by the Port Blair Municipal Council) within its boundaries’, in-case you feel a thrust for refreshment plus one on the outskirts attached with the Marina Park which serves refreshing & mouth watering Fast Foods, Sea Foods and Beverages.


Gandhi Park (Old Dilthaman Tank)

Best place for Family Leisures and Romantic Boat Rides...

The erstwhile Dilthaman Tank, which was the only source of Drinking Water to Port Blair, has been developed into an Amusement Park clubbed with Children Play Equipments, Toy Train, Amusement Rides, Spinning Coasters along with Water Sports Activities like self-propelled Boats and inflatable Motor Boats for Children. Concrete walkway has been constructed along the boundary of the Park (Lake) for visitors to stroll around the park in leisure.

You can also locate the remains of the Japanese Temple and Bunkers inside the park which was built by the Japanese during their reign before independence. The Park is again rich with Deer and different species of chirping Birds.

The park is open for public visits from 08:00 AM till 08:00 PM and is open on all the days including public holidays…


Joggers Park

Joggers Paradise…

Joggers Park is approximately 03 (three) kilometers from Port Blair main bazaar and is the best place to relax and rest away from the busy schedule of the city with family and friends. The total circular stretch of the park is around 600 meters manicured with beautiful gardens and attracts major crowd of joggers, health freaks and couples strolling around. The serene view of the runway and the city adds an extra charm to the place and forms a must visit place for any visitor who visits Andaman Islands for their holidays or otherwise.

The Park is open from 04:00 AM in the morning till 10:00 PM in the night on all the days including the public holidays.


Mount Harriet National Park

The park is open for public visits on all days including public holidays but can be entered through a valid permit from the Forest Personnel…

This place is located in Bambooflat Island which is fairly half-an-hour cruise from Chatham Jetty and is approximately 55 (fifty five) kilometers from Port Blair by road. This National Park is preserved & maintained by the Department of Forest. The Guest House constructed here is at an altitude of approximately 365 meters (the highest peak in the Middle Andaman) from sea level.

Visitors & Tourists can Trek on forest trails up to Madhuban Garden through the eco-friendly environment exploring the rare species of Flora and Fauna. You can also witness those Endemic (Native to or confined to a certain region) Birds, Animals and Butterflies.

Visitors & Tourists visiting this place have to pay a nominal fee to enter into the premises of this National Park. Tickets for carrying Cameras (both Still & Video) and other objectionable things have to be obtained upon the entry.


Madhuban Garden

The best place for Elephant Rides & Forest Trekking...

Madhuban Garden is approximately 75 (seventy five) kilometers by road and 20 (twenty) kilometers by ferry from Port Blair, and forms a part of Mount Harriet National Park. The Garden is enriched with different species of birds like Swift, Parakeet, Hite, Tern, Local Teal, Sea Eagle, King Fisher, Wader, Reef Heron etc. etc. etc. The best attraction of this garden is the Elephants and their rides which lures plenty of tourists and visitors to this place.

The tropical climate and the variety of flora and fauna also attract visitors to trek in the forest every year and the best suited route from trekking starts from Mount Harriet Guest House which stretches about approximately 15 (fifteen) kilometers to reach the Madhuban Gardens.


Mahatma Gandhi Marine National Park

Gateway to Jolly Buoy & Red Skin Island...

Mahatma Gandhi Marine National Park is situated in Wandoor at a distance of approximately 30 (thirty) kilometers from Port Blair the capital city of Andaman & Nicobar Islands, covering an area of approximately 281.500 square kilometers. This Marine Park constitutes open Sea, Creeks and more than 15 (fifteen) small and large Islands. One can witness the rare species of Corals and Underwater Marine Life through Glass Bottom Boats. Other activities which can be performed here are Scuba Diving and Snorkeling.

Jolly Buoy Island or Red Skin Island is also located in this Mahatma Gandhi Marine National Park. Any Visitor visiting these two Islands has to come to Wandoor for boarding vessel for voyage...


Chidiya Tapu

Perfect place for a full day Family Get-Away approximately 30 (thirty) kilometers from Port Blair...

Chidiya Tapu is situated on the southernmost tip of South Andamans and is best known as a Picnic Spot and Sunset Point. The place is enriched with dense tropical forest and wild life. The forest is also the house of various chirping birds and you will be enchanted with those Mangrove Trees all along the shore and the creeks which will lead you to the eco-friendly Munda Pahad Beach (maintained by the Forest Department).

Prime sight scenes of this place remains as the Government Guest House, the Biological Park, the Mangrove Creeks, the Sunset and last but not the least the Munda Pahad Beach which remains open for all the day from morning till 05:00 PM in the evening.

Activities like Scuba Diving, Snorkeling and Game Fishing can be arranged here to add an extra charm to your visit to this place…


Biological Park

The park is open for visits from 09:00 AM till 04:00 PM on all working days except on public holidays…

This Park is situated at approximately 30 (thirty) kilometers from Port Blair at Chidiya Tapu spreading over an area of approximately 40 (forty) hectares. The park came into existence in the year 2001 for conserving the bio-diversity of the endangered and endemic species of animals found on these islands along with various types of plants like Mahuas and Padauk.

As you start walking through the park you will witness those rare species of Birds, Salt Water Crocodiles, Monkeys, Pythons, Deers (both Spotted and Barking), Wild Goats, Pigs, Parrots, Pigeons & many more which form the family of this Biological Park.
